    Cycle of Meetings on Restoration HotSpot on Reintegrations


    During the restoration, the chromatic and formal integration phase is aimed at recreating a structural and often also aesthetic connection between gaps, wear and untying of the texture in the work of art. This intervention takes place through the conscious methodological choice of the conservation procedures and of the integral material that is more suitable for the state of conservation of the asset, which does not involve secondary chemistry over time and also takes into consideration the exhibition context. The seminar intends to deepen the aforementioned reflections on textile artefacts through two case studies that explain how the integral material must be evaluated according to the state of conservation, future exhibition proposals and the characteristics of the work.
